Over the last few weeks I’ve been working (when time allowed) on a new design for LLSS. I wanted something more clean, sophisticated, and pleasing to the eye. I took a note from some of my favorite photo blogs and increased the size of the photos from 640px wide to a bit fat daddy 800px wide, and I like it! I took away the right side bar, cleaned up the left and added an Instagram feed. I’m pretty pleased with the new design and hope it will be a fresh start to 2012.

In other news, there’s a lot happening in our home. Plans are brewing, dreams are being realized, and I couldn’t be happier right now. I feel like 2012 is shaping up to be our year. In a few weeks I’ll be enrolling at PSU to earn my second degree and I’m really PUMPED about the possibilities and opportunities that will open up. I’m still going strong on my unannounced picture-a-day project that I started on December 31st. I’ve missed two days so far, one due to a dog vs. camera incident, the other due to a busy work load (not that it should be an excuse). Even though I’ve missed a couple days, I’m staying positive about the project and just keep on truckin’!
After hearing a number of people talk about Schoolhouse Electric and their new showroom Alex and I took a couple hours out of our Sunday to explore. This place is exactly our cup of tea. Our expensive dreamland cup of tea, but still… We made at least two rounds through the building to soak up all of the details and examine everything.
I can’t wait to go back and be in the market to purchase. We were so inspired we came home and instantly started going through closets, searching for things to put into a yard sale. It’s not exactly yard sale weather right now, but we’re getting a head start and having fun. We rearranged our extra bedroom, the entryway, and living room today. The next project is spring cleaning, oh boy! If you’re in Portland you need to visit Schoolhouse Electric, located on 2181 NW Nicolai.
Last week Alex and I made the decision to purchase a new Wacom tablet. We decided on the wireless Wacom Intuos4 and I’m super pleased with our decision!

2012 is going to be a really exciting year for developing my graphic design skills and I’m hoping the wacom will be a tool to help me in the process. Alex will be using the tablet as a new medium for illustrations and to do quick sketches for clients. Also, the wacom is just super fun to play around with! (as seen above)
If there ever were two babes with ultimate babe powers that could bring happiness, sunshine, love, and magical powers to the world over… it is Laetitia and LouLou. I’ve been following these majestic women for a few years now and have been enamored by their talent & charm. Laetitia is a wonderful fashion and personal style writer and LouLou is an amazing designer of lingerie and accessories.

So, when you’re searching your mind and heart for a bit of advice on babes, fashion, or just need a pick up to your day… look no further than the witty musings of these babes on their new internet radio show BABE TIME.
I had fits of giggles while listening to this week’s BABE TIME so I felt inclined to share their gift to the ones I love, which includes each dear soul that reads this bloggy. I won’t spoil what this week’s episode offers, but I did learn a good deal about keeping it casual… finding love in a pee wee doll…puppies…BABES.
Ethereal Shit, puppies, babes, kittens, the oracle… the work of two babe geniuses.

Without further ado, go take a listen to BABE TIME.
Dig! is a very chic little store full of home & garden decor. Right now they’ve stocked the store full of gnomes in every shape and fashion. I can’t complain! I especially love the fuzzy snail bank and air plants o’ plenty. Check out their website here and blog here.
